A couple concerns (2010-09-03) : 2/5
This is a really cute toy and my son enjoyed stacking the "cups". One of the problems I have is there is contamination particles in the plastic of the cups. The best way I can describe it, is it's little black particles in the plastic. Not a lot but enough on the top cup for me to examine the rest of the cups and they have it too. Also, there was black oil or some sort of residue on the bottom underneith most of the cups. I washed it and most of it came off but a little bit is still there and won't budge. I know there is a video showing a child chewing on one of the pieces, and one of the main focus of the company is that the plastic is safe and it's okay if a child teethes on the pieces, but I don't feel comfortable with my son doing the same and he is teething right now.br /br /I think there should be better quality control. br /br /
The only toy that my six month old is obsessed with! (2010-08-28) : 5/5
My six month old has a very short attention span when it comes to toys. Although I'm guessing this is a common problem with six month olds. I have gotten her Lamaze stuffed toys (firefly, etc.), a few Green Sprouts toys/rattles (although she does like the stacking cups), and unfortunately she gets bored with them quickly. However, my baby loved this toy from the first time she knocked it over. The rings with the flat edge are easy for her to grab and mouth. She also loves to watch me build it for her, knock it over and then grab a ring to mouth. I have a lot of fun restacking rings repeatedly and watching her go nuts. I wished I spent less money on stuffed "developmental" toys (it's true what they say about babies preferring simple toys) and gotten this sooner. I also love that this toy is safe for babies!
Eco Friendly, Durable and Fun! (2010-08-26) : 5/5
I bought this as a gift for my friend's one year old and was so excited that he played with it right away. He banged the rings together, rolled them, chewed on them, and even crawled on the hard wood floors with them in his hands. I know it will be a great toy for him to learn to stack as well since there is no pole you can stack these rings in any order! I LOVE LOVE LOVE that this toy is recycled and made in the USA and BPA free! This is already on my son's Wish List! I have seen this for much more, although I know the price changes at Amazon, I think I paid about $10.
Neat concept (2010-08-22) : 4/5
I was really excited to get this for my 7 month old because it's educational and it's hard to find toys that aren't made in China, BPA free, and environmentally friendly. The only thing is he gets bored of it quickly and hasn't really grasped the stacking concept. Maybe he's just not ready yet?
My 9-month old loves this toy (2010-08-16) : 5/5
I purchased this to complement/replace the traditional stacker with the pole and colored plastic rings. Our daughter prefers this one by far. The other one she didn't really stack - was more interested in the base pole piece. This one she actually stacks and she likes to chew the pieces (she's teething). The fact it's BPA-free, I know she's not chewing on junk, which is always nice. Great buy!
